Accounting Clerk
Enterprise Commercial Paving is a privately held company providing a variety of paving and site work services to the greater Houston area for over 16 years
This is an entry level accounting position that involves accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions mentioned below:
- Office Hours: 8am – 5pm
- Answering Phones
- AR Billing and Payments. Handling all types of pay applications such as AIA, progress billing invoices, free form accounts receivable invoices and statements in an accounting software
- Preparation of lien waivers and working with Project Managers and General Contractor to resolve any payment discrepancies or billing issues.
- Credit and Collections.
- Accounts Payable data entry
- Credit Card activity tracking and receipt record keeping
- Payroll reconciliation
- General Office duties
Job knowledge and Abilities; Skills & Requirements; Experience are as follows:
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Computer Ease Software a Plus
- Data entry & 10 key skills along with general math skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Must have knowledge/experience with AR, AP, Payroll, office duties, great follow through, accuracy, and attention to detail

Estimator
Enterprise Commercial Paving is a privately held company providing a variety of commercial paving and site & civil work to the greater Houston area for over 18 years.
Purpose of Position
The Estimator/ Sales position has a balance between outside sales and construction project estimating. Successful candidates must meet or exceed monthly/annual sales goals as assigned by management. An Estimator is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals from a list of house accounts; company generated leads, and through actively developing long-term relationships with new prospects and current customers.
Role Summary
An Estimator must communicate effectively and persuasively to a high volume of people throughout the workday. Estimators will split time between job site visits and the office preparing proposals for their customers. Successful Estimators possess strong communication and organizational skills. They must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. An Estimator must have strong computer and analytical skills, including the ability to enter data into estimating software applications, and knowledge of basic MS Office applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve/exceed monthly sales targets by prospecting new opportunities.
- Develop an overall client list to maximize opportunities and generate sales activity.
- Grow and maintain existing customer relationships through pro-active marketing efforts, including lunches, dinners, sporting events, and trade association involvement.
- Undertake lead and account research before and after a lead has been engaged.
- Manage daily schedule, site visits, client development, and estimating projects.
- Manage quote generation/detail, order processing and day-to-day paperwork required to maintain workflow and accounts.
- Positive work collaboration with Accounting, Operations, and Estimating departments.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
- Manage client expectations and good service while working with all ECP Departments.
Key Accountabilities
- Meet revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Haul Truck Driver
Enterprise Commercial Paving has career opportunities for a Haul Truck Drivers in Houston, Texas. This position will be responsible for safely loading and unloading heavy machinery both at ECP yard and jobsite locations. The Haul Truck Driver will properly secure all loads before transport and ensuring check-in/check-out sheets are properly completed.
The Haul Truck Driver’s primary focus is to safely transport heavy equipment and represent ECP by providing exceptional customer service, and will coordinate with internal teams to meet our operational needs. All work tools, truck, and trailer will be provided. Driver will report to our home office daily in Houston, TX where the trucks will stay. This positions main focus is to haul equipment with our day cab tractor trailers, as well as dually and gooseneck trailer. However other duties will be required as needed. Vehicle / trailer maintenance, and shop organization.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load/off-load heavy equipment.
- Properly secure loads, with ratchet straps, chains, binders and winch.
- Safely climb on/off equipment and tractor/trailer multiple times a day.
- Effective time management skills to stay on track for deliveries/pick-up.
- Utilize safe driving techniques at all times.
- Legibly complete equipment inspection reports upon delivery/pickup of equipment.
- Maintain daily records of pre-trip/post trip inspection of vehicle & accurate log books.
- Coordinate with dispatcher and customer to collect and verify delivery/pickup locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving truck with similar weight and equipment preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and must maintain a CDL A license.
- Must be able to continually lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
- Must pass DOT physical.
- Ability to maneuver around and crawl under equipment to properly secure.
- Work in hot or cold work environments.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.

Plant Qualified Heavy Equipment Operator
Enterprise Commercial Paving has career opportunities for “Paving” Heavy Equipment Operators in Houston, Texas. Plant Qualification is required. This position will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of construction equipment in Plants: Excavator/Hoe, Asphalt Paver, Roller and Skid steer.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
The responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of Equipment.
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
- Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.
- Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub- contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve the provision of other technical and administrative support, as required.

Qualifications
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience within the road construction industry
- 2 to 3 years’ experience operating Heavy Equipment is required.

Project Manager Position
Enterprise Commercial Paving is a privately held company providing a variety of industrial & commercial paving and site & civil work to the greater Houston area for over 18 years.
Purpose of Position
Project Managers work closely with Operations and Estimating Departments to budget, plan, schedule, and execute projects. Develop long-term relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and government officials. Project Managers are responsible for ensuring the profitability of projects which ultimately ensures the overall profitability of the company.
Role Summary
Project Managers will split time as required between managing active projects in the field and preparing for upcoming projects at the office. Project Managers must communicate effectively to a high volume of people throughout the workday utilizing both spoken (in person and over the phone) and written communication skills. Must have experience typing and entering data into software applications to process daily paperwork for weekly payroll. Must have experience using current technology such as smart phones and apps in addition to standard office machinery. Must have superior organization and analytical skills as well as being able to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations
- Manage the daily job schedule and take responsibility for the overall quality of each project
- Work the hours necessary to support the schedule and to meet revenue goals and stay on target
- Learn and retain paving and general construction standards and best practices
- Demonstrate and continue to learn a variety of paving applications
- Manage labor crews and supervisors while balancing the need to minimize project costs
- Ensure accuracy of and approve daily reports submitted by crew supervisors through software
- Approve labor hours for processing weekly payroll
- Verify all equipment, material, suppliers, and subcontractors used on project are reported correctly
- Document project through photos and reports as necessary
- Submit job files and invoice instructions ensuring projects are billed correctly and on time
- Learn applicable construction material testing procedures and interact with material testing laboratories
Estimating
- Participate in project initiation/selection & budget, counseling Estimating Department on projects
- Confirm project scope with Customer, establish project timeline and verify the availability of both internal & external resources (labor, equipment, material, information, expertise, and time) critical to on-time project completion
- Schedule and lead project meetings when ECP is the GC; attend and engage in project meetings when ECP is a subcontractor
Human Resources/Accountings
- Assist in staffing labor to ensure adequate crew size and quantity for project load
- Scout for talented labor
- Ensure all new-hire paperwork is filled out completely and correctly
- Verify labor hours reported daily against the timeclock
- Research and resolve invoice issues
Purchasing
- Source materials, equipment and supplies
- Issue purchase orders and place orders for materials
- Manage vendor and supplier relations and establish new relationships as needed
Quality
- Recommend process improvements
- Define and uphold ECP standard practices and principles
- Interact with municipalities to get plans approved and permits pulled
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Schedule and lead safety meetings and crew meetings
- Assist with managing regulatory compliance programs and update as necessary to grow ECP exposure
- Manage risk by ensuring proper safety training and safety equipment
- Update or compose ECP company manuals as required
